Tuesday Tips Websites That Drive Enrollment

For this episode of Tuesday Tips, we were joined by Niki Blaker to discuss how school websites can become powerful enrollment tools rather than just digital brochures.

Here are this session’s top 3 tips:

  1. Adapt your content strategy by enrollment season. During October-February peak application season, feature clear deadlines, unique differentiators, and prominent “Apply Now” buttons. In March-May decision season, emphasize virtual tours, program details, and next steps for accepted families. Summer is perfect for building relationships with incoming families and community engagement.
  2. Measure what actually matters for enrollment. Move beyond basic Google Analytics to track conversion-focused metrics like application form completions, information session registrations from your website, and virtual tours that lead to scheduled visits. Use heat map tools like Microsoft Clarity to understand user behavior, and combine data with direct feedback from families.
  3. Prioritize mobile-first user experience. With over 50% of school website traffic coming from mobile devices, ensure your site works perfectly on smartphones. Keep navigation to 7 or fewer main menu items, make important information accessible within 1-2 clicks, and remember that parents are often browsing during commutes or pickup lines—they need information quickly and clearly.
