In this episode of Tuesday Tips, we were joined by Tony Solorzano to discuss how partnerships can help grow your school.
Here are this session’s top 3 tips:
- Identify when it’s time for external marketing help. Warning signs include enrollment plateaus despite consistent efforts, lack of time to manage social media accounts, or realizing your expertise is in education rather than marketing. Remember: you likely didn’t go to school for marketing—and that’s okay.
- Consider different types of strategic partnerships. Explore community partnerships (like Boys & Girls Clubs or YMCA), technology partnerships (SIS systems and data tools), and media partnerships (radio, television, and digital advertising) to extend your reach and impact.
- Start with a clear vision for your marketing needs. Before seeking partnerships, have internal conversations about what you truly want beyond “more students.” Determine if you’re looking for right-fit families, targeting specific neighborhoods, or considering a rebrand. Understanding your specific goals helps you find the right partner faster.
